REASON FOR PRACTICING . . .

Haven of Hope was established to provide a culturally sensitive therapeutic experience for clients from diverse ethnic backgrounds who are struggling in relational entities. Be it Mother-daughter, husband-wife, employee-boss, father-son, friend-friend, etc., I am here to assist in bringing reconciliation and healing. The goal is to provide clients with psychoeducation, skills and life techniques that will enable the client to realize a more functional and healthy way of interacting. Most importantly, I am passionate about helping couples find better ways to manage conflict, grow closer and work as a team to effectuate a positive and lasting union.

MY PERSONAL NICHE . . .

My niche as a psychotherapist is the ability to establish a sage, trusting rapport with my clients, showing how much I genuinely care for them and their concerns. They trust me with their life-material and in return they receive my ear, my undivided attention and my promise to walk the journey right alongside them.

WHAT TO EXPECT . . .

First, we'll get to know one another and find out what you'd like to accomplish throughout the therapeutic process. We will move forward as I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results. My utmost goal is to specifically tailor treatment plans to each client and to ensure that clients feel heard, their experiences validated, and most of all, understood. In most instances we need someone to listen to our experience and help us make sense of it. If our life experiences do not make sense to us, we often become stuck and unable to proceed forward. My desire is to co-pilot the full journey with my client, no matter how turbulent, until he or she is capable of taking the controls and flying solo!
